Fifty-one nonprofit organizations, their boards and volunteers attended the Fall 2017 Nurturing Your Nonprofit workshop, hosted by Northwest Alliance Community Foundation (NACF) in partnership with Grantsburg Community Education and the Grantsburg Public Library.
The training was held at the Grantsburg Public Library on Friday, Nov. 3rd and covered the topic of grantwriting as well as an introduction to a balanced fundraising plan including grants, donors, sponsorships, and special events. The workshop was led by Danette Olsen McCarthy, successful fundraiser and adjunct faculty member for the University of St. Thomas fundraising certificate program, and Patti Hurd, successful grantwriter, nonprofit consultant and NACF board member.
Founded in November of 2013, Northwest Alliance Community Foundation (NACF) is a regional, grass-roots organization made up of passionate volunteers from northern Polk and Burnett Counties in Wisconsin. NACF empowers the people of our area by providing learning opportunities, building financial resources, meeting community needs, awarding nonprofit grants, and helping individuals and families to leave a legacy.
